She is manipulative, a great con artist and so fake! Everyone knows it the minute they meet her. She tries to act all buddy buddy with us and wants to make sure that we as co managers keep her in on all the gossip and what goes on in the store. Are we in high school or at work? She is the scariest and most psycho micro manager. As soon as we finish a sale or should I say a non sale...she immediately emails us asking what happened, why didn't you do this or that...I see you through my computer..are you doing blah blah blah!? One time she was watching the computer from home and while one of our leads was talking to a guest, the lead put in notes in the system that guest is pregnant, our boss called immediately and said it was an emergency to talk to the lead while she was with this guest to basically tell her "you can sell her"! How embarrassing! (FYI, in the industry I work in, if you are pregnant, you can not proceed with treatments) During my first annual review with my boss, she stopped in the middle of it and started to talk about how I hurt her feelings talking about her (which I was venting along with other co workers about her bullying ways) but that she hopes I am passed that now and we can get along better. I don't think this woman had many friends growing up and is desperately seeking them at work. She is not a people person and should actually be a used cars sale person...no offensive to those out there. The worst part about her bullying...if you talk to your head boss about her, the head boss tells her and she comes to you and confronts you on it! Hello...what happened to open door policies?!!!! It is pretty bad when she has almost been let go by the corporate office the first time and then by the owner the second time...what the hell did she do to keep her stay? Or who did she do? On a serious note...we have had soooo many people quit because they can not handle her novel emails, treating you like you are 6 yrs old, watching your every move on your computer through hers while she is at home, gossiping like she is 12 and overall just a big fat bully! What will it take for them to see how unfit she is for this position and how many great people do we have to keep losing before they fix the main problem? She recently fired a girl because and I quote her words, "she dresses trashy. there is a fine line between trashy and business." Everyone that worked with her said she dressed just fine! I had a lead that showed more than cleavage every day and nothing was ever said about her clothing. On top of that...right after they fired this girl, the very next day they made us go to scrubs. How wrong was that? They also said she talked too fast...which she reminded them while she was being fired that she had a bad car accident several years ago and underwent massive brain surgery and that her speech therapist told her it could take up to 20 yrs for her to gain her normal speech pattern again. If our boss doesn't like you for any reason...she will find a pathetic way to get rid of you! I'm surprised no one has filed any wrongful termination suits against her. We assume sleeping with the CEO helped her chances) sent everyone on our team this email, following a 7 am meeting that she sent out an email notice for at 10:30 PM the previous night (none of us are expected into work until past 8 normally so lots of us hadnt seen the email notice until the meeting was over) "To those of you who did not attend my meeting this morning, here it is…. I realize I sent the invite at 10:30 at night for a 7:00 am meeting. But, it does say something about those who managed to receive my invite (and text) and make it. And, it proves what I am about to say. I have been working for this company, this “mission” for 17 years. I, personally have been through 2 divorces, two pregnancies, 5 presidents, 4 possible buy-outs with job loss fears, working as a single parent, working for no pay at all, etc. I could go on and on. We have endured many stressful times over these years. But never have we been under the gun like we are now. We are supposed to be transitioning from a small company to the big leagues and all I see is lackadaisical, non-involved, uninterested and undevoted attitudes. You all joke about me and my Blackberry, never apart. You tell me I need a vacation and that I work long hours. Guess why. This is serious and I want to see the same dedication from everyone that works at this company. It is frustrating to see others putting in their 8 hours a day and forgetting everything as soon as their feet leave the front door. If you cannot step up and show some sincere hard work and dedication and determination, then leave now and stop wasting our time and the company’s money. You are all paid well and when you were hired you were told that this would be the challenge of a lifetime. It’s time to rise to the occasion or throw in the towel. I always prefer trying positive reinforcement before it gets to this, but that is obviously not working. For those that attended the meeting, they were offered a bonus for the first national account Purchase Order received. A bonus out of my own pocket. You may want to ask around about that. I was up all night thinking about this (and responding to 3:30 am e-mails). This is not the end of the company. That is not what this is about. Sales & Marketing" SO..did you like the part about how working a full 40 hour work week means we are slackers? but the icing on the cake came later in the day, when she sent out an email and sloppily didn't notice she had left the entire email thread between her and the CFO copied in the email in which she was asking him about when she would get her VP pay raise to $165,000 !!! THIS on the same DAY as she is ragging on us low level employees because the company is financially suffering and only SHE is dedicated enough. He makes up complete bullshit about me on the spot without letting me gather my thoughts and give him an honest reply, I have no say. He ignores the fact that I show up for work sick and slave away for him just to get his product out(I'm the only guy at that location, so it all hangs on me). When I tried talking to him about the way he treats me he replied with "if the shoe fits!" He's extremely rude to me, tells me to shove it up my tail pipe and smoke it as well as threatening to charge me for helping me at work one time(for 40min) when the product arrived late due to one of his cronies screwing up. He has refused to pay me for statutory holidays as well as vacation pay. He always makes up some bullshit about why I don't get this or that. First he refused to pay me any overtime(I worked for him for a year and only gathered 7 hours of overtime in that time period, which he refused to pay me). I guess that's gratitude for all that I've done for him! When I pointed out to him that he should reimburse me for holiday pay and vacation pay, he told me "that crap doesn't work around here". Naturally I won't let this slide. I also know for a fact that he doesn't pay "some" of his other employees on time, he owes one guy 3000$ that's a few months overdue. He has hired a few friends to work for him and he treats them well even though one of them has cost him thousands of dollars because of her screw ups(she screws up all the time in big costly ways). Did I mention he has a serious anger problem? One time he was screaming his head off to some telephone company employee and when they hung up on him(for obvious reasons)he smashed the receiver back onto the phone and then went to cry. Let me put it to you this way, another employee of his was talking to his old business partner on the phone and the guy asked her how she was doing in terms of working there, all she said was "fine" and the guy laughed his head off because he knew what an asshole she was working for. He's a dick, but he's an expert dick lol. No but seriously, in our industry, he knows what he's doing. Well, he always complains and bitches about his field technicians and how incompetent they are. But he never volunteers to go out to the field to help them or monitor them or guide them or train them. So he threatens termination but never tries to coach his employees. There's NO employee development at all, at anytime. Why not just go out to the field, actually spend the time and visit the technician and coach him thru some things?? Would anyone die? What would it hurt besides my the pride my boss holds onto? My boss loves to blame people for things. He's the king of the "blame game". If he's in a bad mood he blames it on other people. Example -- "If people would just do as they're told, i wouldn't be so pissed off". He tries to blame other people for his pissy moods as if he's not in control of his own emotions at all, at anytime. Its so childish. Once, amid one of his fits of anxious rage, I said, "you know you sure do give everyone lots of control over you by telling us that we put you into your moods-- sure does give us lots of power over you and your moods". Anyhow the point being from all this, have some pride in your employees and just TRAIN them, coach them and be patient with them. Don't spout off every time they make a mistake. Pretty soon they're gonna run out of people on this island to hire. In the islands, a lot of advertising is done via word of mouth. I've been here 2 years and I've seen at least 50 people come and go. Some people dont even come back after their lunch on the first day. They benefits suck. They treat you like robots. Cause they want first blood. Not hard work and good attitudes. For a locally owned "Hawaiian" company, they have no aloha spirit. They shit on their employees daily. And the Mr. and Mrs. are two huge drama queens that can dish it..and can't take it. now they're all panicking cause they just bought a million dollar house and the economy is taking a turn for the worst. they complain about how poor they are to the employees yet she drives a jag and he drives a 7 series bmw. and when clients and visitors come through they don't hesitate to brag about "oh i don't know what to do with all this money". its nauseating. She is moody, unprofessional, a dim wit with no people/management skills whatsoever. She is a bully and is rude to everyone in the office but then will flip and be nice ( personality disorder perhaps?) She has knocked my confidence so much now - when I am work I am made to feel like a complete moron. When I brought her conduct to the attention of another partner in the firm she just lied and lied. I was reduced to tears and she just sat there smugly looking at me. She has no morals at all and has been Sh$"&ing another partner in the firm who's wife also works in the firm- It all came out ( they were caught snogging in a pub) and despite this she still walks around being cocky. But then that's what she does - she goes after married men so its normal. she is the kind of women that thinks that all men fancy her ( you would laugh if you saw her because she is nothing special). It is evident from working with her that she has got where she has on her back. She has no academic qualifications whatsoever (unlike myself) and is pretty stupid. I am ashamed to work for the firm that I work for because in my area it is a laughing stock because of her antics. She has driven other people to leave the firm and yet she says I am the one with the problem and no one else has complained- dumb B%tch. She is one sad lady. I have to go back into work tomorrow for more c%ap from her. It is really getting me down and am reduced to tears by her every week. I and am at the beginning of what I hope will be a great career and I know that I have to ride through it until I get another job but it is sooooooo hard. Now I have complained (informally) I think it is going to get worse and she will be really horrible to me. I kinda wish that I hadn't done it because it will make her worse because after the meeting she ignored me and was short with me. The other partners don't see her behaviour though - when they are around she is as nice as pie to everyone and as soon as they go she is a super b$%ch again. She threatens people, and working for her is living hell.... Anyway so many stories to tell. Anyway this is more how we got back to her... maybe as an inspiration to others... So she is a total shopping addict... so her birthday comes around and we got her a gift certificate to that store that sells only different versions of "nothing" (AnythingNothing.com) - so she got the $100 gift certificate and was sooo thrilled, she never expected that... even invited us all for a drink (cost her $20 so she thought she still made out). However she hasn't visited the site... she did the same evening and found out that she could only spend the money on different versions of nothing, which the shop actually will ship to you (kind of an empty box)... Needless to say when we went home that night we couldnt wait to see her reaction. So the next morning comes around... she's in a total piss mood...doesnt say a thing... hehe while everyone was silently just smiling... At least 3x's within the last 4 months, I will be on my break or at the office early before I clock in, to use the restroom. The restroom is small (uni-sex). Anyhow, at least 3x's my boss will try talking to me threw the damn restroom door about business. I cant stand it. This morning, I came in early. Before I clocked in, I went to use the restroom. I was like 30 minutes early. My boss came knocking at the bathroom door. He said my name..... I responded, "yes?". He said, "well can you open the door?" I could / should have said, "no I cant--- I'm using the restroom but when I am finished we can talk if you want me to clock in early". BUT instead of that, I just opened the door and talked to him for 30 seconds. It really annoyed me though. Even my restroom time 30 minutes before work is interrupted by my boss's lameness. I'm sure thats sexual harassment of some sort. I mean seriously. So then when I closed the door, I muttered (hoping he would hear), "the next time I'm in the restroom whatever you have to say can wait until I'm out". Anyways, my boss and his wife own 3 radio stations in three different towns and everyone in town dislikes the couple because of the fakeness and airs they put on. Anyways I had several run in's with both husband and wife. The wife wrote our checks and didn't like to pay overtime- she ended up denying that she knew she had to pay it, thankful I got was I deserved. Now her husband would schedule the board operators (me) to play football, baseball, basketball games at night, on school nights and he didn't care that the game ended at 12 or 1am and we had school the next morning. We are a country radio station that is mocked at every turn for the fact we play more sports than music. Well after a hurricane came through the gulf and made its way up through our area and electricity was out, school closures etc. I was on the air telling our listeners about schools and he called me and accused me of saying that our local school district was closed when indeed it was not. After he stopped screaming I tried to explain to him the situation and he proceeded to say the following.. "Godd**** (my name) shut up and listen" Now I know to many of you that might not seem like a lot but it is when your a 17 year that bust your ass for the man. To make the situation even better he is a well respected member of one of the many local baptist churches. So the next day I went into his office after I got out of school and told him that he had upset me and he proceeded to tell me it was my fault because I was rude by trying to explain the situation and he didn't take that from a kid.. A kid that can do anything he ask. So he did apologize for cussing and i threw this into his face. "(his name) would you want some one to curse at (his kids names)?" So my parents have decided that the next time he does it they want me to leave and find another job. Also, FCC says that he has to lower his AM power at a specific time each night, guess what, on Friday nights it doesn't happen..
