What others think
But, I like my own skin
I work as the office manager for a little mom-n-pop electronics repair shop. I make $7.50 an hour with no benefits. My boss micro manages every little thing, but he is possibly slipping into dementia, so there are a lot of screwups he needs to blame on everyone else.
First, he refuses to keep an appointment book. Then, he will tell me to schedule people for pickups, and then yell at me for overscheduling him becasue he forgot that he had told me to schedule them and he scheduled other runs, then he will not go to do the pickup, then tell me I need to have "elephant skin" when those customers call to yell at me because he didn't show up.
ARRRGGGHHH!
I think I would start keeping records for myself of the schedules that he is making and show him to see if there is any adjustments that need to be made, then when he starts yelling at you, pull out your record book and show him the schedules. Also ask him for a raise, He doesnt pay you enough to be the fall guy.
I would look for another job.
i would go elsewhere
It seems like, with your skill at diagnosing people, you should quit your job and become a psycologist. You could probably make like $8.50 an hour, an like have your own office, and like your own business, and like your own…(fill in the blank with whatever.) I hope my sarcasm came through you uneducated twit. Get a friggin’ edumfuckincation and get a better J O B!!
Time for a new job!
$7.50 an hour you're better than that, this may upset you but if I put reality on the table it may spur you to leave and find something better..
The amount you make, there's no way you could afford a medical emergency, or the essentials of living which tells me that your boss, really doesn't give a hoot about you at all, you're just some schmuck answering phones.
At $7.50, I'd just get up and quit, yes, quit, no job is worth $7.50 unless you're a kid in high school learning about hard work and earning your first paycheck.
