Call your own clients back!
My boss never calls his clients back. His clients call and are upset. They have questions about their billing and accounts. I tell my boss and he never wants to deal with them.
He pawns everything off on me and Im left being the go-between with all these upset people when it could be completely resolved if my boss just picked up the damn phone and talked to them.
My boss has more information about their accounts than I have authority to have. There have been several times where our business looks like a complete circus just because the owner/boss wont just talk to his customers/clients.
Its like he's Zeus or something.......unreachable, unattainable......up on Mount Olympus. He doesn't understand that people have canceled their business with us based solely upon their lack of contact with the business owner.
I understand that business owners are busy people and can sometimes afford to hire other people to be their buffer. However times are rough and he's loosing business. He tells me he just doesn't want to deal with people so he has me do it. Well, ok great, then when I ask for help or for privileged information, I need to receive it!
So my boss with holds information that i need to make his business run smoothly. What's up with that???
