Circus Marketing

I was working for 6 years in a company when the JV happened with main competitor. So I inherited this all purpose asshole so called Marketing manager. This was an American company in other country. Well, the guy had to control everything: all the spreadsheets had to be his way, if we went to the restroom he would ask about us and why we were never there when he needed...he never accepted any improvements or suggestions and was always rude at the team. He didn't speak English but claimed he did.

One day a Manager from the US visited and the director did not let him talk due to his lack of language skills, so me and the others ended up doing all the presentations.....I always tried to work my best, doing all my analysis, even contacting directly the North American team which I did pretty well considering the amount of information I could get for free! I tried to improve some of the existent work (I had to literally throw my work done before the JV away because I could only work his way...) and he was always very rude to me and even humiliated me in front of the team.

And then there was the Company's annual Research for "How was the work Environment among Management and workers". He did very bad in the Research and decided to blame me. So he decided to fire me saying that he was never going to give me any promotion or salary raise so I had to go somewhere else....My last evaluation was done by this guy ( I have a copy of it) and it was saying I was good at my job!!!!! He decided to promote a guy that also does no speak English but is PhD in Kiss Ass. And now this guy's team has only young recent grad whom he can say and demand anything that he wants....The director only keeps him because he is also KISS ASS Master. As Marketing he has no language or people skills at all.

I wonder why this kind of people still last in companies!!!!!
