New Boss was a BITCH!!

Several months ago I worked for a regional Telecommunications company. This company wasn’t doing so well – it had just been delisted from the NASDAQ for a second time. The company decided to streamline the staff by setting up new areas. Basically combining & moving offices with new bosses. I'd had the same boss for the better part of five years. My new boss was a Female (Now I have nothing against females). I'd never worked with her before.

I worked out of a smaller market & as long as I got the work done no one usually bothered me. After the realignment went through I met my new Boss, I thought she was pretty cool. I'd spoken to others that worked for her & they told me the same. Life was good, just had a new boss. Well about 6 weeks into the new structure, she decided she needed more head count in another office. She had borrowed a guy from one of the other areas to work in her area. He did a great job with helping out. She offered for him to move & take a permanent position with her office.

I come in on a Friday & she called me Mid-day & needed to speak to me. I got back to my office & she called my extension. I was let go, here is the kicker. She said she hated to do this but, the work load in my office was so light that they could cover it out of one of the larger offices. So, I was being let go. She should have done this in person! She Emailed me my notice of being released for the company. I would be getting a severance pay & would have to work out my two weeks, before getting the package. By the way if they hadn't stepped up with the payment i would have just walked.

So I did as little as possible for two weeks before being released. She didn't return my any of my calls, emails to ask her some question. It took ten business days before she called me back. I had lots of people fighting to keep me in the office, however She kept to the story I wasn't busy enough.

Come to find out after I was released. She had nothing to do with any service out of my office, basically she told my old boss to handle it. They were too busy in the new area to handle my old office. She gave incorrect data to her V.P. of Technical Services to have me released in the first place. Making him look stupid for ever approving my release.

I spoke to my old boss & they have been covering my area since I left. They had been working more tickets than when I was there. So she wanted head count in one of her offices & I got stuck in the middle of a huge power struggle. Pisses me off, but I now have another Job with a Great Boss & better Pay than when I was released.

Poetic justice: They called me about a month later & wanted me back. Too Late!! I hope She gets what's coming to her! I heard that she's burned so many bridges by doing this she's on the Hot seat now!
The Boss of the person she brought in Is Pissed at her, for stealing his guy away. My old boss would like to choke her. The V.P. was made to look stupid. You don't make VP's look stupid. She she'll get hers. I just hope my old boss calls me & lets me enjoy her suffering!!
